A bicycle can help you peek into every corner of the Knjaževac municipality. One of the most attractive routes is to the village of Ravna. Viticulture in this area has a centuries-old tradition, and the wine cellars hide the most beautiful wines with a designation of geographical origin.

If you take this path to the village of Ravna, a spoonful of real honey and a glass of cold water will come in handy at the Queen Selection Center near the village of Štipina. Just a few kilometers away, there is the village of Potrkanje, and in it the famous Jović Winery. The knowledge and secrets passed down through the generations have earned this family cellar respect across the country.

Various types of grapes are grown on 15ha, and apart from a tour of the cellar where you will learn everything about growing and producing wine, their complex also has a kind of modern tasting hall. You will drink wine with various cheeses and cured meat products from Stara planina, while one of the owners tells you about the interesting things of this region with light jazz. A great suggestion to start the weekend, isn’t it?

You can also hear the stories of wine in the Archeo – ethno park in Ravni, where, in the ambience of the patriarchal Saos community from the end of the 19th century, the festival will be held at the end of the 19th century. There is also a small wine museum. In the immediate vicinity is Timacum Minus, the oldest Roman military fortress in the Timok area.
