Snowy Thursday: Skiing and sledding to your heart’s content

March 6, 2020

Today we bring you the full text and video that our local TV crew recorded about our favorite winter event – Snow Thursday. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

The Tourist Organization and the Public Enterprise of the Ski Resorts of Serbia, under the auspices of the Municipality of Knjaževac, organized the “Snowy Thursday” campaign again this year, providing the opportunity for primary and secondary school students to enjoy the fresh air, snow and winter sports at Stara Planina.

Although fog awaited them on the roof of Serbia, it did not stop the children from Knjaževac from enjoying the snow, which they obviously wanted, considering that there was almost no snow in the city. Those who ski on the slopes are taken care of by physical education teachers, and for those who want to learn the first lessons of this attractive sport, there are professional instructors.

The action “Snowy Thursday”, under the auspices of the Municipality of Knjaževac, is organized by the Tourist Organization, which provides transport and snacks for children and young people, and the Public Enterprise “Skijališta Srbije”, which gives away a free ski pass. Everyone agrees that this is a nice event, an opportunity for children to visit, get to know and love Stara Planina.

The organizers say that in the past seven years, since “Snowy Thursday” has been organized, more than three thousand elementary and high school students have come to Stara Planina.
