The association for nurturing tradition “Izvor”, with the support of the municipality of Knjaževac and the Tourist Organization of the municipality of Knjaževac, organizes the 30 November and 1 This traditional manifestation is held under the slogan “Tradition to Europe”, and the goal is to promote the tourist offer of the municipality of Knjaževac, preserve the heritage and spiritual values of our municipality and region, and the national identity of Serbia.
The official opening of the Meeting is scheduled for Saturday at 12:00 in the large hall of the House of Culture, but participants from all over Serbia, as well as guests from Bulgaria and Romania, will fill the space of this institution as early as 9:00. As in previous years, a competition will be held in making ritual towels and ritual breads.
On Sunday, the first of December, participants and guests will have the opportunity to watch the stage play “Knjaževac from A to Z” prepared by the students and teachers of the Elementary School “Dimitrije Todorović Kaplar”. For guests from other cities, representatives of tourist organizations and agencies, and journalists, a tour of the Native Museum and the permanent display of double-knitted socks, as well as a tour of the salon of civic displays from the 19th and 20th centuries of the “Izvor” association, will be organized.
